ok.ive checked out the prices of the chalets.
the rates are around $330 for 3 daes 2 nites, 1 double-storey unit. so meaning,if 25 ppl go,its bout $13.plus bbq everythings,shud at most be $20.

yeps.if you are a "poor guy" like mi that uses the excuse of no money to prevent outings,
i suggest u can save now.
1 week save 5 bucks is good.haha=)

good point about silver

lessen time for gold.
do it while we have time now.

This past 1year with you all has indeed been a great journey for me. I feel that I’ve learnt many important lessons from taking charge of you guys, & I really thank you all for giving me wonderful memories.

Finally after 2+years, you all have taken over as the leaders of the company. I pray that throughout your time as cadets, all of you have really gained something valuable from this time, be it your platoon mates or memories of old times, or lessons that have changed your character in one way or another. If you haven’t put in your best in the previous years , I think it’s high time that you strive for the best in your respective posts and learn to treasure the company of your 26platoon mates. Time flies, and before you know it, it’ll be your turn to handover the responsibility to the next batch. AHSNCC HERITAGE TRAIL =D

Theme: Mystic of the Urban City. (might change anytime)

Basically this is a heritage trail, you all should know what it means. It’s on 16^th May, a Friday. Hahas. There will be two parts to this trail;

1) traveling by bus

2) traveling by foot.

Traveling by bus means that the participants and you all will be divided into 3 buses, then you all will visit 3 ‘BUS STATIONS’, which I’m gonna mention later. Then the 3 buses will reach the 3 different stations at the same time, meaning one bus taking one station at a time. Then the max time for each station is 20mins plus plus, so after 20mins, you all will swop stations by traveling on the bus and do the same thing until you all have completed 3 stations. Then you all will head for raffles hotel, that’s where the whole ‘traveling by foot’ trail will start. During the ‘traveling by bus’ trail, the bus guides will take charge, which is yi jun (bus 1), wei en (bus 2) and han yang (bus 3).The bus guides will take charge at each station then only they will do the briefing, so the attachment I/Cs will just follow and answer any questions posted by the sec ones.

What attachment I/Cs have to do? Basically in this trail, there will be two attached to a group of 8 sec ones, making groups of ten. Then the job of attachment I/Cs will only come in at the ‘traveling by foot’ trail. The attachment I/Cs are suppose to bring the sec ones around the route that was planned earlier, and to EXPLAIN TO THEM THE HISTORY OF EVERY STATIONS that is in the ‘traveling by foot’ trail. There might be activities planned for the sec ones at any stations, WE WILL TELL YOU ALL AGAIN ABOUT THE GAMES OF EVERY STATIONS DURING TOMORROW’S DRY RUN. Understand? Hahas.

There’s basically everything that you all have to know. I WILL GIVE YOU ALL A BOOKLET OF THE WHOLE TRAIL TOMORROW TO EEVRYONE about the whole trail, which includes the proposals of every stations, groupings and the map of city hall area and fort canning. Please do take note of this point.

I will post again the bad weather plan tomorrow after the dry run, and if it rains tomorrow, we might have to postponed it. Now let’s move on to the committee roles.

‘Traveling by bus trail’:

1) Sultan Mosque in Arab Street

2) Thian Hock Keng temple in Chinatown

3) Sri Mariamman Temple (Indian temple in Chinatown)

‘Traveling by foot trail’:

1) Raffles Hotel (going to the museum)

2) War Memorial Park

3) St Andrew Cathedral (just going in)

4) Old Supreme Court

5) Central Fire Station (going to the museum)

6) Fort Canning Park (consist of many)

- Raffles House

- Light House

- 9 Pound Canon

- Archeology Site

- Fort Gate (then walk from the carpark to the CATHAY at Douby Gaut)

7) Cathay (going into the museum/gallery at 2^nd floor; then sit bus from Cathay back to school)

Do take note in the actually trail that don’t go off the trail or anywhere else please. We will set a maximum time for each station after tomorrow’s dry run so pelase stick to it. I will tell you all soon about the maximum time. Also take note of NCC’s image cause this’s the first step of improving NCC’s reputation among the sec ones. So do the best out of it. We will tell you all more when the trail is near. BTW EVERYONE IS TO WEAR LONG PANTS ON THAT DAY, I will tell you all soon. (:

However, during the awarding of scores, the assessors will be stricter than usual.
This test will be conducted at an individual basis.
The scores will then be submitted to LTA Lee for checking and evaluation.

Assessors will be Aloysius and myself.

*Note: The sequence of test may not be in this order.So that's about the information regarding the test. Please be prepared as soon as possible. We don't wish to see you guys fail. Remember what I told you guys before. I know you guys can do it, since I took you all before. Missed those times taking you all, so now I'm taking you all for test again. Hmm consider tis a ranting post. Feeling kinda random now.hmm ppl frm ncc will know that chau zhing is "famous" for ponning trainings with seriously lame excuses, with (oh my parents dun allow me to attend more than 3 trainings in a week, when he doesn attend ONE at all.)But, I can understand him. Yes. NCC discriminates ppl like chau zhing and me. I admit I was once a ponner of training. yep. But, no matter what I try to undo the damage I have done in the past, the scars are still there in the platoon. I was dejected at one time tis yr. Whats the point of coming for a single training, where you are STILL CONDEMNED for whatever you do. EVER IF I ATTEMPT TO CHANGE.,;Sooo. All this comes from the phrase "you must climb into people's skin and walk around in it" from atticus, I want to bring forth this message to my fellow platoon mates. Do not think that people do not change. They do. Think in our(the ponners) perspective. Your actions now discourage us from changing. If your all do not change, I strongly doubt that Chau Zhing/the ponners will change, even after we take over. haizAhh. and If my ncc platoons mates are reading tis, all the trainings I missed so far this year(two trainings) are real. as u all know..
we will be taking over soon.
and there will be many upcoming events before we take over to access us..
and i can say that this events are a test for us..
this events split us up and we might not be as bonded as before..
even now..when we are part b's
we are also split up into pds,pt and lobo..
but think of it as a test for our part..

and now we are also working on the 3 projects which also splits us up..
plz do find the time to relax with our part and not stick to the same groups for conversations..
all the upcoming activities would bring about many conflicts that are either visible or hidden..
these conflicts can be avoided if we do our job well..
i know we will tease each other by saying things like " u oic..i am just a member leh"..i always do that but i mean no harm..just a joke
but u all shld know that we mean it as a joke..if u feel offended u can tell the other party..
we would say all these because we treat each other as brothers,
talking bout anything under the sun..

so please do not keep to your groups..
and regarding sensitive issues like who is better or where u belong to..plz do not mention it in uunnessarily as it hurts our part bonding..

most importantly..the people who have started to "disappear"..
i know by just asking u all to pull them back is very easy to say but hard to do...but the school term is starting and u all can talk to them in class..thats easy right..

so we shall not let the upcoming events like post selection and the 3 events to pull our part apart...
i think other parts also have people drifting away..we shall create history to be the most bonded part ever..

Our Part B had done relativly well in the shooting com.
maybe more could be expected but at least they tried their best
sometimes the things that we really want may not be easily achieved
but there is next year, and in the mean time, we can prepare ourselves for it

hi guys again....
my main aim here is cause i was given a mission 2days ago by our seniors..
ya wont tell it now or else it defeats the purpose because everyone will just act out the mission and not really doing it cause they dont wanna the part to be dragged down and paiseh and stuff like that..

ok anyway as u guys noe this fri is most probably has no training cause 2mr got training..
so i gone thru my head and thought about a few things we can do..

1) go watch movie
2) play basketball at tampines
3) play basketball in school
4) sit down and talk about stuff and part b camp
5) train together
6) go shave together

btw 1 and 2 are not advised as it requires money to be spended and some ppl may not wanna go cause of the spending of money so they wont go so i advise we do 3/4/5/6(since we have to shave anyway).

Well, now everyone must be thinking of Part B camp right?
if not, u better start thinking now.
Nervous? You should be...

Here are some things which may help to TAHAN part B camp:

1) try not to think all the tekan in part B camp(although its quite hard)
------think that this is a once and only camp, an activity that we will all go through together
as a BRAVO, try to treasure every single time of it
------like some of the seniors had said," u would wanna go thru part B camp again". tat's not
being sacarstic, but when we go thru it, we will hate it, but longed for it later
------so, enjoy the tears and joy we share in it
2) be urself
------u dun wanna attract unwanted attention(dunno wad i writing abt)
3) remember the phrase---"one for all, all for one"
-------this is a camp to identify LEADERS, not HEROs. Leaders who take good care of ur
fellow mates, not a solo-barbie
Lastly, think of me...=]

well, actually i dun think i can fulfill all the things i stated, but i think it will at least help us abit

today, as me N wei en were walking home, u saw a barbie doll lying one a patch of grass.

Felt like posting here.
Anyway, i've got something to tell you all,
since Part b camp's just round the corner.
First things first,
Though we keep hearing stuff like
"train hard"
all these from the seniors,
It's a little late to train up now.
Ya, and now the Main part.
I don't know if it's true,
but it's worth trying.
Ya. it originates from an anime,
so i don't know if it can be trusted,
but i sounds reliable.
Okay here goes.
I found out that for events like part B camp,
where a lot of energy is needed,
its best to not do any workout at all 2 days before.
Best if you just do a little bit of workout.
Reason?
because our body cells are tired from all the work everyday,
so by resting,
we're replenishing all the energy,
so it can at least pull us through the camp.
So you gain strength without doing anything.
Cool right?=)
Yup, but now if you plan on choinging also not very sensible la,
come to think of it.
If train so hard now, then in part B camp no strength how?
So i've come to a conclusion:
Choing until last 2 days then stop doing le.=)
Sorry if there're the presense of irony in this post.
Cause i posted this while i was thinking,

i feel stupid to be blogging about this.

i want to have a part b chalet.
it will bring our relationship STRONGER!!!
i had look though the training schedule
onli to find that
there are only two period when this chalet can be held.

28/11 to 30/11(costa sands pasir ris)
or
28/12 to 30/12(costa sands downtown east)

if booking,
the one at pasir ris will be $290 for a double storey(PR)
the one at pasir ris will be $200 for a single storey(DE)

i not very sure,all this are excluding BBQ,etc etc.
firstly,can anyone tell me who not free on either on those 6 daes?
i wud try book the 3 daes when all 27 of us are free.

it wud be better if everyone can go on the dec one

been a while since i last posted...
yea so you can expect this post to be bout something important...

Ok...as everyone noes Part B camp-
about 3 weeks away nia...

I guess everyone training hard to pass through the camp, and I hope we will b extremely bonded after Part B camp.

Lol so now i posting a poem about perseverance-
ok I did this for the elit poem n it scored 19/25, not the best i guess but i hope this will encourage us during Part B camp.

so here it goes:

ok these are the information that you guys have not copied finished the other day.
for the conveniece of those who did not copy at all, i will type out the whole thing, including those that some of you have already copied.

MILITARY DEFENCE
- At the national level, Military Defence is the responsibility of the Ministry of Defence and the Singapore Armed Forces involging both our National Servicemen and regulars.

-Training is the key to the SAD remaining fighting fit and maintaining its high state of operational readiness.

-Our Military Defence is also strengthened by our defence industries' capacity to meet the SAF's weapons and ammunition requirements.

CIVIL DEFENCE
-At the national level, Civil Defence provides for the safety and basic needs of Singaporeants during emergencies or on the home-front during wartime so that life can go on as normally as possible. The Singapore Civil Defence Force in the Ministry of Home Affairs is at the forefront of these efforts.

-Some of its programmes include training the civillian population in rescue work, evacuation, first aid and damage control, as well as familiarising them with procedures for survival and protection, and with arrangements for relief services and emergency suppl of critical items like blood, water and food.

-The SCDF has in place a comprehensive network of volunteers in the grassroots organisations who help in organising Civil Defence-related activities and exercises for water and food rationing, bomb shelters and puble warning systems.

ECONOMIC DEFENCE

-The Ministry of Trade and Industry plays a key role in promoting higher and stable levels of economic growth and employment, so that all singaporeans have amply opportunity to improve their standards of living. to all cool bravo people who are going for night cycling.
a few way to prevent one from being tired mentally
-hibernate,go home n sleep after training.
-coffee,it helped me during exam period.its effective
-music,someone bring speaker then we blast while cycling
-energy/chocolate bars,it provides lotsa energy
-give each others neck squeeze during breaks.it shocks people.

thats about it
and regarding LAN.
i suggest we end at bedok,then lock our bike somewhere
then play LAN till a certain time then go return bikes.
so thats about it.

seriously, just about one week plus a little more till the showdown.
Shall not beat about the bush,
may i know who want to stay back after school to revise work?
if you all want can find some people and study together.
It sure beats studying at home,
with no one to ask to when in doubt.

Another thing, if any of you have quesitons and don't dare ask teacher,
you can come find your fellow platoon mates.

hello second time blogging in the part b blog
tmr is the PDS selection, for those who want to get in, you may want to read some of the
little tips by our dear part C seniors here.

Most importantly
- Get your basic eleven right. Die die must memorise if you want to join
- Make sure your rifle is straight
- Tucked nicely into hollow,dont let the rifle slant and lean.

Things to look out for
- Don't be nervous, just treat it as a normal PDS training
- Don't gan chiong, u gan chiong then u forget everything then die
- Flicking, must have jerk, must be straight, and close your fingers.
- When doing drill, try not to move your body but just your hands
- Swift, sharp.
- Unlagged, don't be lag during drills!

Lastly, even if you're not in SPDS'08, that doesn't mean you can't get high posts. And don't hold grudge against your seniors if they did not choose you or they kicked you out, they must have a reason to do so as your drills ain't as perfect as others in the part.

ok. apparently some of you still have doubts regarding camp FEAST.
Firstly, you all DONT have to bring school related PANTS. but if you guys want, its ok. i repeat you DO NOT have to bring school related PANTS. but as for the shirts, it would be good if you bring your company tee and 1 or 2 sets of pe shirts, according to your own needs. if you dont like being in dirty clothes then by all means bring more sets. its up to yourselves.

is advisable to train ourselves up so..
who wants PT after school but only after EOY?
you all want before also can but don't directly before larh.
but the PT won't be so simple like only at PT ground de.
hahas. then if you want to train at home right,
here are some tips which i do.
honestly i not hiong as alvin so you want
hiong de you can ask him or view his blog larh.
hahas.

you all maybe can do
30 normal, 30 diamond then 30 spider, follow by 10 normal.
these sum up to become 100 pumpings,
and is counted as one set. advise to do
2 pumpings at a time. hahas. so maybe one
day you can do like 2-5 sets? hahas.
don't really need to focus too much on diamond
because if you all do these exercise for a
long period of time, diamond should be quite easy.
but if you want to focus on diamond, it's alrights.
hahas. then maybe you all can include crutches
into your exercise routine. just take things
slowly at a time. hahas. for those who wants
to grow taller like me, do skipping, probably
100 counts at first then slowly increase.
it can also train your stamina. hahas.

but now studies come first.
so work hard. hahas. take things
slowly at a time. slowly enjoy

got sumtin to clarify regarding a command...

the command "pandan" means the green colour sweet smelling leaf
whereas the command "pandang" means look...

most of the time we give the command pandan kehadapan(hope spelling correct)
However the correct pronounciation should be pandang(pan-dang), so next time if u ic then u giving command, use "pandang" instead of "pandan"

alrights, let me teach you all
some tips;

STEP 1

Apply water over your boots and rub it constantly throughout
STEP 2: Dip your cloth with abit of kiwi, not too much, then follow by dipping into a little of water and polish constantly throughout
STEP 3: Apply only water for a few times and polish it constantly throughout

REPEAT STEP 2 and 3 for about 5 times, or personal preference.

and there is such methods as
SCRAPPING and BURNING
but you can only use them if
your boots have been polished like
one month time and the methods
above may harm your boots.
so do it at your own risk. hahas.
if you want know more come ask me. hahas.

but let me tell you all even the world shiniest
boots will turn blur under the hot sun
so be prepared to see your boots not
shine after the parade tomorrow. hahas.
and the only way to make it shine is
you polish normal at first and you wait like
a few hours or maybe one day later then you
polish a thin layer over it. this will prevent
your boots from turning blur according to
sir Wen Yong. hahas.

so have fun tomorrow. remember what

1. jus like the milkrun...try to buy bananas and have 1 or 2 for breakfast tommorow...

2. Dun eat anything spicy or curry...hahaz no nid sae more
3.when running... try to keep a rhythm in ur head and not keep varying ur step timing
4.drink lots of water the day be4...O.o which happens to be today...
5.make sure you get plenty of rest...

Lastly, RELAX!!! mus keep composure so that you will not over stress yourself...
after all, as long as you try your best...
it is not very hard to get A

please don't misunderstand that you're weak
We Are Strong
it works for me
so maybe you want to try
it's for the sake of our part
and Part B camp
so please don't say i hao lian
its the sincerity from the bottom of my heart =))

here goes.

Firstly, set a target for yourself for the day
say 500.
throughout the day
do push ups whenever you are free
500's the target.
it's best if you can reach it
i promise you,
u will feel the sense of accomplishment.
of course, please don't do 500
when u can do much more
do this everyday
till it's a habit to touch the floor
you will acheive something everyday
..
Second, set a pacer for yourself
eye for someone of greater fitness than you
and try to catch up
i did that when i was a ALPHA-IAN
i'm not shy about it but my pacer was wei en =p
..
'though theres still this gap
i will catch up'
this is my all time phrase.
here are some more quotes to spur you on, it did spur mi=))
